Into
the Woods - An Earthy Diet Planner
The woods offers a bounty from Mother Nature! From
berries to nuts, from mushrooms to wild plums,
depending on the season - there's no telling which goodies
you'll discover.
There's nothing quite like pitching
a tent and relaxing by a campfire on a chilly night.
A very tasty, low calorie diet treat is roasted
marshmallows - only 100 calories for 5 jumbo marshmallows.
Yes, they are practically pure sugar, but what
a treat! They take a long while to eat and those
sticky fingers can be licked for hours.
On that note, the following free diet
menu is full of all these good foods from our Good Earth:
Breakfast: Mushroom Omelet - 1 yolk
plus 2 whites and scramble. Add a bit of salt and pepper
and pour into a pan sprayed with non stick cooking spray.
When eggs are set, flip and add 1/2 ounce of a skimmed-milk
based cheese OR 1/2 slice of cheese. Add a layer
of sauteed mushrooms then fold. Serve with
1 cup of skimmed milk and 2 strips of bacon.
Mid Morning Snack: 2 large plums
Lunch: Dandelion Salad: Mix the following
- dandelion greens, raw spinach, 1 teaspoon of shelled
pecans, 1 teaspoon of golden raisins, 1/2 chopped apple,
tomato, chopped cucumber and 1Tablespoon of your favorite
salad dressing.
Serve Dandelion Salad with green tea
sweetened with Splenda, and a bowl of cream of mushroom
soup (single serving). Add one breadstick if desired.
Enjoy 1 serving of beef jerky with your meal.
Mid Afternoon Snack: 1 TEASPOON of peanut
butter spread of the 1/2 apple leftover from lunch.
Dinner: These recipes take a while to
prepare, but they go hand-in-hand with the Good Earth.
A healthy serving of Stone
Soup, 1 piece of Peasant
Flatbread, 2 cups of stir-fried veggies (add a good
dose of no calorie butter spray and some salt and pepper
to taste), 2 cups of fresh berries dusted with Splenda/Equal.
Bedtime Snack: 1 cup of skimmed milk
and a scary campfire story!
